Our kinds of fronts explained
This is when an individual member is expressing themselves by their personal profile. If you're aware about our plurality (most likely), this would be the kind of fronts we'll have towards you!
For example: Alice is expressing simply by themselves and is identified as the stated name, even if the hosting body isn't called “Alice”. Bob is assisting Alice to do certain things, this is generally called co-fronting.
This is a secure type of fronting that we're most likely doing towards external strangers and people who are unaware about our plurality (yet). In this case we all share the same identity (name, pronouns, birthday…) tied to the hosting body and try to express through its personality (which is quite polite and general).
For example: Towards a stranger, Alice is fronting but is expressing as the hosting body. It could be Bob, Carl or anyone else instead, they would still express themselves as the hosting body.
This is either when we're unaware about who is fronting / controlling the body, or when no one is fronting. The brain just can't stop itself, even while sleeping, so the unconscious is left. It's behaviour is mostly based on our overall habits and the hosting body’s general state.
For example: we are tired and no one is currently fronting, then the unconscious will respond to urges (getting to sleep) or do repetitive things (an attempt to relieve itself) until someone takes control and does a more conscious action.
For now that’s it! If we notice more kinds of fronts, we’ll try to add them here!
