Some content is specific to Libilians!

If you’re not one of us, you might find some content a bit confusing, as for example you don’t have a ā€œCIDā€.

TL;DR: Quick steps

  1. Make sure you have a profile in PluralKit with your actual CID (find your CID…);
  2. Use [CID][message] to send a message as yourself on supported chats, for example 001 Hello!. If unsupported, just make sure the last author is included somewhere in your messages. </aside>

Introduction

Chatting as a plurality differs a lot from simply sending messages as a singlet owning an account for themselves alone… because we all share the same account (one per service)!

What should you do to send messages conveniently?

Normally, you’d send a normal message to anyone you want and it’d show your name along with your profile picture. And that works just right for a singlet.

But as a plurality, it would be such a mess to make several accounts for each service, especially the paid ones. Or imagine having to own several phones where they each have their accounts, and comes the moment when you’d have to bring them all… that’s rather pointless, and the Earth planet will want to sue you!

Our volunteers have been hard at work to make sure you can chat conveniently in all possible cases, as anyone and to anyone.

There are two possible cases. Either:
